Trip Player

Trip Player stores all trip and location data on your iPhone only.

The app sends raw trip and location data to the outside world only in these cases:


GPS coordinates for saved locations are sent to Apple Maps service for generating maps, flyovers and geocoding.

If you perform an iCloud backup from within the app, Trip Player sends selected trips and locations data to iCloud servers. Photos aren’t sent to iCloud.
Use ‘Restore from iCloud’ to see or delete data on iCloud.

For each trip you add to the app, the trip’s name and creation date/time are stored on your device.
For each location added to the app, the following data are stored on your device:

GPS coordinates with altitude

horizontal/vertical accuracy

creation date/time

associated trip

name, note and photo attached to the location (if any)

In addition to data created by you, Trip Player stores some configuration settings on your device. These settings are used to provide a better user experience by selecting the most recently used values in the app for:

map type (standard, satellite, hybrid)

flyover animation type (2D quick, 2D, 3D)

GPS coordinate format

metrics for distance (feet or meters)
